We're at the halfway mark of the overseas phase of TURT. So far, the band has completed two gigs, one of which was an evangelistic concert held at Prince of Songkhla University. The schedule on the road has been tight, with the students having to undergo cultural training, band rehearsals, and having to adjust to new surroundings and weather.
Thanksgivings: 1. The band, including Manson who arrived later, are safe and sound in Hatyai.
2. The guys in the band are taking initiative in their respective roles, especially in the area of managing the sound equipment. This has helped to ease the load on the rest of the band during rehearsals and gigs.
3. So far the team has had great times of prayer, and had fruitful debriefing sessions after each gig.
Prayer Requests:1. Physical sustenance. There have been a few cases of stomach upset due to food, and also lack of sleep because of the mosquitoes and dip in temperature at night. Despite these, the students in the band are still running high in spirits at the moment, and for this we are thankful. Pray the high morale continues for the remainder of the trip. 2. Sound system. The band has just switched to using in-ear monitors (instead of conventional speakers to hear themselves), pray that they can adjust to it quickly. Today & Tomorrow:
This afternoon the band is heading out to Thaksin University to conduct a promo for their concert tomorrow afternoon. Besides giving out flyers, the students will also take some time to interact with the people in the campus, and in addition prayer walk around the premises. Do pray for a good time of connecting with the students of Thaksin University, and even for deep spiritual discussions.
Thank you for standing with us in prayer!
